Prison recidivism rate falling in Pa.

WASHINGTON — Fewer Pennsylvania offenders are returning to prison, according to a new report commissioned by the Justice Center of the Council of State Governments. On Thursday, the center recognized Pennsylvania and seven other states for their progress on reducing recidivism rates. In Pennsylvania’s case, the three-year recidivism rate decreased by 7.1 percent over the last six years. [read the full story here]
