Ms. P

My girlfriend just got assigned to Henley. It s very far from our home in Fort Worth. It s supposed to be for Substance Abuse. I pray that she gets the help she needs and we need to move forward with our lives once she is out.

All of Henley is not for drug abuse. I was there for a one year period in 2011 and only one pod was designated for drugs. Mostly this pod is segregated from general population. Detainees take classes in their pod, eat together in the chow hall, and sit together at church. They had a lot of fights and drama over there, mostly between lovers, but tell her to mind her own business, not get caught up in others problems or situations, trust no one, try to follow the rules, and keep her mouth shut (unless she's getting the shit kicked out of her). It's not easy, the food sucks, the warden sucks, and it will suck being locked up in the summer without a/c. But, she has a chance to take a break from the drugs and truly get some good counseling. She is not alone, she is a child of God, he is with her. Tell her to pray for his guidance and not to rely on the advise of other inmates. In the night, in the dark, at the loneliest of times, he will guide and comfort her. When she thinks it can't get any worse, or she can't take anymore, He will bring her threw. I pray her time passes quickly and your family is back together soon
